Leslie Thiel has been a glass artist since 1995. She has studied with artists including Lucio Bubacco, Akihiro Ohkama, and Michael Barley. She teaches fusing, lampworking and wire working locally and nationally. She has been a leader for the ISGB for many years. Including two terms as Regional Director and working on the Gathering.
Her work has shown at the River of Glass Exhibition at the Kentucky Museum of Glass, and the Swedish Hospital MS Exhibit at the Traver Gallery in Seattle. She has been included in such publications as Bead and Button-(April 2010), The Flow Magazine-(spring 2008), Lapidary Journal-(December 2006), as well as 1001 Glass Beads-(Lark Books, 2004).
Leslie’s work was chosen to be included in the Museum of Glass’ Auction ?September 2010.
Leslie regularly teaches at Pratt Fine Art Center in Seattle, WA. Her classes include Curved beads as well as Sculptural Floral.
